Butterfly ballot recount results shows Gore cleaned shrubby's clock. But we knew that already. Just more denouement. Popular vote + real electoral vote = President almost Gore. Supreme court + Florida tricks = President George W. Butterfly. sfgate.com I notice that since shrub staked out his initial extremist stances, he is starting to show signs of compromise and moderation. Maybe he's more clever than he appeared at first -- getting over his denial that the country voted majority Democratic is the only way he'll make it through. Even so, he's got some big surprises coming. The late 90s will soon begin to take on that rose colored glasses appeal.
