remember Kamen's 'IT' - Hydrogen power???
hmmm ... i keep finding more references to hydrogen fuel sounds explosive to me!

msnbc.com

INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER Adam Penenberg reveals trademark and patent filings, domain registrations, financial transactions, factory blueprints, and other unknown information about the inventor in the upcoming edition of Inside Magazine. Penenberg reports the groundbreaking invention may not be the personal scooter itself, but how the scooter is powered. “It will be powered by hydrogen instead of gasoline, which would give it a smooth, quiet, pollution-free ride,” Penenberg writes.
The outlook for the inventor, however, is not all rosy. Kamen does have competition. Inside reports, “Other companies are experimenting with using fuel cells in scooters and then providing the vehicles with hydrogen when needed.” The magazine also says Kamen has hit financial challenges, and has mortgaged his home and other properties. These setbacks and other delays could allow Kamen’s competitors to beat him to market. Penenberg says, “Instead of becoming the next Bill Gates or Henry Ford, Kamen might find himself ending up like another great American inventor, Preston Tucker, who in the 1940s built the Tucker, a car too far ahead of its time.”
