I think everything hinges on the PPI (producer price index) numbers this week.

1)If inflation is moderating, the market will rally and the rate will be cut a half point, and we will have seen the bottom right before PPI numbers are announced.

2)If the PPI numbers are neutral, we will move sideways from announcement time to March 20th, waiting to see how much Greenspan cuts.

3)If the PPI numbers are bad like the last ones were, the bottom could be much lower.

Just my thoughts on what we may see. I think the PPI is critical to where we go from here.
