tonyt, i'll bet dollars to donuts amzn's book and whatever other business they call "profitable" isn't profitable in the traditional sense.

if they give more information that folks will see this to be true.

my guess is they are categorizing away some related expenses.

you tell unless there is something to hide. gretchen's report, and common sense, says that amzn is willing to either lie or mislead. therefore, everything they say is suspect.

more information is required to hold them accountable and that is why the *REFUSE* to release it. they don't want accountability. the lie/misleading would go away far too soon.
