Actually, the general concensus on the thread is [besides shorting the equity market] to be short the dollar and long precious metals. Perfect for what you're describing... the bonehead policy makers are forgetting the big picture, what policy makers have feared for decades [the vulnerability of the dollar due to it's reserve currency status], and thinking only of patching the immediate hole in the dike... meanwhile letting more malinvestment be built up down the canyon. This downturn has MUCH more at stake than just the current overvaluation in the stock market...
