Not bad. I'll give you two points on that one.

Re: Ashcroft: I did not oppose the appointment of Mr. Ashcroft when it was made and am quite willing to give Mr. Ashcroft the benefit of the doubt. Time will tell. Perhaps he will do a credible job as AG, as his predecessor Ms. Reno did.

Re: the Supreme Court declaring the election over when there were still votes to be counted: I'm not sure the Repubs understand the significance of what happened ... the precedent that has been established for future elections. The 5-4 decision halting the recount has the potential to undermine a goodly portion of our democratic process.

These things happen in banana republics, not the greatest country on earth.
