As a group, the 31 semi-equip stocks "bottomed" on 11/30/00. Since that time, the group has advanced 31 percent while the SOX-X is up 11 percent and the NASDAQ is down 21 percent. This performance shows how the semi-equips bottomed early in the cycle while the high fliers have "crashed" more recently 26 of the stocks in the group are up, while 3 are down. PLAB leads the group with a 118 percent gain.
