I have to agre with mike...and I just found this info on another thread..margin at all time record highs.. there's plenty of squeeze left in this market for longs..

your reply to me kind of indicated that you are seeing things through rose colored glasses here mentioning the glass as one tenth full in stead of nine tenths empty..

Margin debt increased to an all-time high for the week ending March 2 !!!!! Data out Friday from the Federal Reserve shows that
the US is leveraged to the maximum as the markets are poised for new lows. Margin debt is at an all time record high. This is
incredible and ominous for the stock markets in general.
There can be no meaningful advance in the US stock market with margin debt levels at record highs. I believe the Federal
Reserve is absolutely at fault for not lowering the margin limits long ago - last year when they started raising interest rates they
should have acted to reduce margin by US consumers.

The debt has to be paid back. Do not buy the dip except in gold stocks imo.
