I think u may be right, but I think when speaking about margin levels -- you need a wider context than just 1 year. The levels are huge when you consider where they were say 4-5 years ago ... I had a link that wasn't up-to-date. Of course, leverage outside of simple margin loans from brokers abound -- a simple easing of margin debt to brokers by a mere 30% is little cause for cheer or thinking that the excesses have been wrung out. U gotta have some sense of where we are on an absolute basis, too.
