Thanks. I saw an article in Barron's (geez, why do I bother any more), an interview with a money manager, who said that one of the things that keeps him up at night is deteriorating credit quality.
Away from that, I've never witnessed a recession in which banks and real estate didn't get clobbered.
Maybe it's different this time <g>, but I really seriously doubt it. I'm getting mixed reports from my contacts in California, some say real estate is still generally firm, others say it's a disaster in the making. Well, disaster or not, I'm convinced it's going to worse before it gets better. And it isn't going to get better any time soon, IMO.
I'm trying to figure out who is the largest mortgage lender in San Jose. I think I know. Then it's a matter of connecting the dots.
