Seoul, March 12 (Bloomberg) -- Hyundai Electronics Industries Co., the world's second-largest computer memory chipmaker, may cut back production as prices chips reached a record low last week, the Electronic Buyers' News Web site said, citing vice president Farhad Tabrizi.

BUY Winbond. Winbond (2344 TT) reported fair monthly sales numbers of NT$2.2bn, down 22.6% yoy and 8% mom. Other DRAM makers all have reported February results. Mosel and ProMOS: were down 10% to 20% mom; Powerchip fell 28% mom; Nanya, however, rose 5% mom. Our conclusion: Winbond's results are fair, a little bit better than average. We still recommend that investors BUY Winbond as the DRAM spot market can rebound in March and April. |
