Thanks for making that point, Rory. I went back and did some research on earnings.

The sum of proforma earnings for the trailing 4 quarters was $1.07, which is a p/e of 48.5 based on Friday's closing price of 51 15/16.

The consensus for FY2001, which ends on 9/30/01, is $1.26, a forward p/e of 41.2.

Not bargain basement, but a helluva lot better than 370.

This is a real company that makes substantial profits. It shouldn't be confused with a dot.com.
