I live in fremont,ca which is a part of the silicon valley. The service is only available in certain areas of the city and in only
two areas of the valley (sunnyvale & fremont). So the reported
small number of customers could very well br true.

As to the difference the service has made to my internetr usage, i use
the net a *lot* more and could never use 28.8 or 56 or isdn again.
