Sportsline has various scoring rules you can implement. One variation is to assign points based on seeding, i.e. you would add the seed to your per round game score as a bonus. For example, if you correctly picked a 16 seed to upset a 1 seed you would get 16+1=17 points for that game instead of 1+1=2 points had you picked the favorite. Compare this to getting 1 point no matter who you chose. The disadvantage is that with only a few people in a pool you might get one upset-minded person with an insurmountable lead early and that might ruin the fun (as we'd be rewarding such picking this would increase such a likelihood). I'm pretty sure I can change the rules at any point, so after we get a group of people together we can debate whether to do this.
