I'm just now catching up with this discussion...

"...my perception is that Ensemble's system has
a higher capacity and is more flexible."

I do not believe the Ensemble products offer more
capacity (well, perhaps slightly more) but I do
think they offer other desirable features (such
a greater flexibility and, possibly, lower cost
to manufacture or lower operating costs).

As you know, STXN and Ensemble are allied... and
STXN has made some significant investments in
privately-held Ensemble. I feel there will come
a time when STXN will acquire Ensemble.

I don't know of anyone who has a high-capacity P-MP
product out at this time. However, I believe that STXN
has some high capacity P-MP products under development.
One of the advantages of their new "Vantex" chip set,
which powers their new Altium 311 Mbps P-P product,
is that it allows STXN to bring new products to market
more quickly... I think this chip set will be the
foundation of STXN's P-MP products.

NTRO's cash position will help it survive, but the road
ahead looks mighty tough for NTRO. They're not making sales
right now but they need to keep investing heavily in R&D
just to stay competitive. I think the market for NTRO's
products will return before they burn through all of their
cash, but I think they'll emerge from this period as a
weaker company than they were perceived to be 6 months ago.

I haven't purchased any NTRO and I'm unlikely to do so,
but I do keep adding to my STXN position (when I can).
