Today, CDMA represents only about 10% of the global wireless subscriber base. By 2006, as cdma2000, GSM, & UMTS networks all incorporate CDMA (either cdma2000 or WCDMA), nearly 100% of the global market for wireless will be based one of the 3 CDMA standards - MC CDMA, DS CDMA, or EDGE. However, even the EDGE standard has announced their intention to migrate to DS CDMA (UMTS). The 10 fold increase would not even take into account growth from current levels.
