that's correct, a program is downloaded. are you saying that the program reconfigured my system "to do any of the following in order to run Symantec's test, when you wouldn't ordinarily do so"?

because if you are, i can't begin to tell you what the symantec program does. and i just know that i did not make changes in order to run the test.

any security test loads a program, i would think. gibson probably does.
