It is a multi-mode chipset. Could this operate in a GSM network?

Could the new MSM6000 be a GPRS buster?

1) We know MSM6XXX is multimode, multiband qualcomm.com

2) It will be out around when GPRS get its act together q2 2002, if they get their act together

3) Data rate equivalent to what one expects there, 14.4; presume heat and radiation level data to be favorable. Will have bundling that competitors can't deliver with Bluetooth, Launchpad, etc. (Brew too)

4) Why would Qualcomm compare to GSM terminals unless it was to be used in a GSM system? "The MSM6000 radioOne-based integrated circuit and system software will assist manufacturers in offering equal or lower pricing of third-generation cdma2000 1x handsets compared with standard GSM terminals...

5) Why compare the traffic capacity unless you are speaking to GSM operators? this solution leverages the significant traffic capacity benefits of cdma2000 verses GSM, providing system operators with even greater savings.

6) has the SMS and r-UIM functionality GSM people expect

7) Now you give GSM operators a chance to do something until they put in a network to support 1x?

Dry me off if I am all wet.
