Eric:

<<Seems to just be a Palm with 3.5 OS, pure and simple. <g>>>

Sure looks that way though I was concerned with the caveat that apps would work/be supported if the the were Palm Platinum certified. Maybe I've lucked out but I doubt all of these are Palm Platinum. I'm not complaining mind you.

Agreed. Had a similar experience when they loaded up my phone. This was the 2nd one he had done and he was clearly on the learning curve. I suspect their call centers will be
equally uninformed. Went through the same thing with Omnisky but so far have not had to call. I will be calling however as I was never given my password for Network Access.
It was set up at the shop but they negelected to give it to me so if I have to do a hard reset, I'm stuck. Will be interesting to see how their call desk handles this.

<<I'll be keeping the Vx with and the GoType keyboard ... >>

Understand your approach but not sure I will follow suit (yet). When I travel, I always have my laptop so lack of a keyboard is not an issue. I can take the power pack for charging and IR hotsync everything else. If I did not have my laptop, I would probably take your approach.
