Ali, Gee. 1,000 shares of Intel stocks are nothing if you read all these guys at SI have to say. Yes, I am working just for the hobby. I got into engineering not because it is a good career but my interest, unlike most other engineers I know. That is also why I consistantly go to work two hours late every day (10AM rather 8AM) without getting fired, although I still do put in my 8 hours a day, not all in engineering but a lot of office politics. Sometimes I just wish that the Soviet Empire did not collapse, so I would still be in the aerospace industry tinkering around with the most sophisticated toys. We aerospace engineers really did our jobs so well --- the government does not need us anymore. And, the research and development area of the automotive industry is not as primitive as you think. There are a lot of aerospace know-how pouring in. The challenge is to make it cheap. So cheap that we have to pay our customers to accept products off us instead. John. ps. I guess you want 1,000 shares of Intel from me as well. Well, if too many people are asking, I would not have any left. By the way, don't hold your breath.
