this is a very important point. it relates to what I was saying to lurqer the other day, and it is one of the few things (in addition to valuation concerns) that I wish we had stressed more emphatically back during the bubble.

Since the gorilla game doesn't itself provide any guidance on questions beyond stock-picking, we should have kept reminding ourselves more strenuously that heavy concentration of large portions of one's wealth in a few highly correlated tech sub-sectors carried substantial risks should the bubble ever burst. Nobody loves Cassandra, however, and the inherent optimism of growth/tech investors helped numb us to those risks.
