Carl, while Micron &c. allow the use of any of their SDRAM patents for free, I would probably position that as Micron & c. swap SDRAM patents with anyone who has comparable value. If I started a memory company right now with no IP to swap, do you think that all those MM's would be happy to give me their IP for free? Or would they license it to me for a fee? Dave
