I have my own point of view.

The internet is today something like the highway system was when all the fast roads were privately owned with expensive tolls. Not many people remember that travel between major cities on public roads meant racing between traffic lights on four lane highways lined with strip malls.

That damn socialist Eisenhower finally had the Feds come in and nationalize the toll roads and build state sponsored freeways. Thank God we have Dubyuh to prevent any such Republican scheme for using government to achieve such a socialist outcome. May that never happen again. Keep government barefoot and pregnant and as dumb as possible lest it do some unnecessary harm to Dubyuhs sense of tranquility and McNeely's refined sense of economic planning. Pray for a good economy. That's my message.

This is a 19th century style unregulated market type of falling rate of return capital crisis we face.
Only the most liquid will survive. It's a depression not a recession if the Fed's rate cuts end up pushing on a string.

Cheers!!!

Luckily Novell has 690 million in cash. And its eDirectory software is actually useful in helping enterprises cut their costs in using the internet to replace their expensive private networks. Hey maybe they can get together with Nortel and buy up Inktomi!

Gee tya think Dubyuh will ever figure out that the internet is a public network?
