No kidding........ I once left a church that was of fundamentalist origin because they had God portrayed on the level of an Arab terrorist. My word....they even claimed that if you didn't give your tithe with a loving heart that God would take out his vengeance on your kids!! They thought that the word of the Pastor was like God talking and if you doubted anything he said you would automatically go straight to Hell ( without passing Go but if you did pass Go by accident it was OK as long as you gave 10% of the 200 dollars to the Pastor.) LOL....a monopoly joke! That Pastor sold the church and pocketed the money.....I think he gave 10% to the next Pastor toward the building of a new church!! I am not joking! I wish I was! PT
