yes, the military power, or 'empire' aspect is certainly important in the bigger scheme of things. but should trust in the magicians at the FOMC be lost ( i predict it will be) i think the dollar will come under pressure anyway.

i didn't see the interview, but from what i heard of it he sounded pretty upbeat. good thing he reminded people of the enormous leverage the lightly and non-hedged gold miners possess.
