Was checking out some tech valuations, found some unusual bargains. I use "bargains" loosely, there is nothing to indicate that they may not become even greater bargains.

JDSU - trading under book value!! BV is $23.96, JDSU now trading under 23. I do not know how the SDLI merger will affect it.

NUFO - Less than 1.5x BV
INKT - 1.15x BV
ARBA - under BV (.89)

Numbers compliments of Yahoo.
Are these companies likely to run out of business in the upcoming quarters??

Of course, many NASDAQ equities still retain stellar valuations - CSCO as was discussed on the thread earlier today. NTAP 8.5x book. PMCS 6.5x BV.

I remember the last two semiconductor capital equipment cycles. Thinking I scored by picking up ASYT and CYMI below BV, then as the months went by, watching them drop another 50%. At that time I hung in there and ultimately profited, even doubling down once it was apparent that the rally was underway.
