JDN this cost of oil for heat is a new thing. Thank goodness its only Jan, Feb, and Mar then we are out of the heating months. As to how people are dealing with this this year it is called credit. The easiest credit is refinance the old mortgage and make use of that equity value. The worst is the credit card, maybe even two new ones at an introductory rate of 2% and hope to pay them off before the end. Either choice uses up all discretionary funds to get out from under. Little left to invest right now ... buy and hold is the name of the game.
