Placing an order to buy Cypress Semi (NYSE: CY).

A diversified semiconductor company with a very strong balance sheet: $850 million cash, with $730 million of convertible debt.

P/E is low. Earning projections have been knocked down to the point where buying is rational mode of return. Assuming 15% growth over the next five years, and assuming 2001 EPS of $1.43/share, leaves us with a 9.3% annualized yield over 5 years. Sounds like a good risk.

Order: Limit buy 59 shares CY @ 17.00. Order expires March 16th if not filled.
