IMO, HE IS a market timer who cautiously followed his own model and then speculated against the overall trend of the market - against his overall advice that the most important goal during a bear market is "CAPITAL PRESERVATION". If he wanted to speculate as described, hindsight would point to keeping this information private for himself. Instead he shared it over the air and then in his newsletter this fall. An unfortunate decision on his part. I'm sure he gave it his best, but in this market, nothing seems to work. We've seen bottom after bottom successfully tested per the textbook and then breached.
