Kaplan says that gigantic amounts of gold are being leased. What happens if after the boe auction the lessors discover that they don’t want to be short gold? I don’t think you can game this market. You're either in or out. If you are able to trade this market, you shouldn't waste your time with it. FWIW, I've seen statistics that show that only 1 or 2 % of the professional traders make money trading as opposed to market making. How many of us fit into that elite? I know that I don’t.
