I guess my prediction of an average price of $275 in 2001 does not seem too insane, although my prediction we will not break $300 in 2001 is most unpopular. Short-term resistance at $270 appears to be causing grief again today. As for the long-term gold should be around $350, and predictions of $400, $500, $1000, etc. seem overly optimistic to me. Most miners and investors would be happy with stable gold prices about $75 higher that we are today .
