Xcelera Sets Record Date for Special Dividend

Xcelera Inc. (AMEX: XLA), a European Internet technology company, today announced that it has set December 31, 2000 as the record date for a special cash dividend to shareholders to address income taxes that may be due by U.S. shareholders.
The dividend would be payable to shareholders of record on December 31, 2000. Xcelera will announce the amount of the dividend and the payment date after it calculates the amount of its undistributed foreign personal holding company income for the year 2000. Xcelera anticipates disclosing additional information regarding the dividend, including the amount and payment date, by mid-February 2001.
