As dawn breaks in Texas, Penni rushes down the stairs, flexing her fingers and kicking the cat out of the way. She lovingly brushes the dust off her keyboard and affectionately kisses her monitor. Pot of coffee in hand, she rapidly logs on to SI and finds 97 messages on Feelings, most of a decadent and provocative nature, many featuring the usual squabbling, culinary threats, and idle wordplay that so distinctively characterize her home thread. Certainly nothing of a serious nature or bearing any resemblance to profundity mars the posts(unless one counts the Emily Dickinson knock off by an obviously bored and irritable Thomas). Of course, there are the expected Bleonard allusions and- ahhhh-some impressively adolescent braggadocio by several of the men regarding multiple female co-minglings. (honestly-when will you guys ever figure out how duplicitous women can be about this multi-orgasmic claim--did you never see When Harry Met Sally?) Well, having sated my immediate lust for an SI fix, I'll now check my stocks. My, it is good to be home!
