IMO the best book available on options trading, particularly volatility trading, is Natenberg's "Option volatility and pricing". The main problem with McMillan's book is that while it can lay claim to featuring the most longwinded and lengthy descriptions of any options strategy imaginable it falls short when it comes to the characteristics of such positions that arise out of its theoretical sensitivities. Pricing models aren't even introduced until almost the end of the book. If you're only interested in directional trading the book is ok but for volatility trading (which is where the really good risk/reward option trades are) you should definitely get Natenberg's book.
