I think people have become over pessimistic on the economy and tech. Retail sales look like they are holding up. Tech companies which sell products which old economy companies need should continue to do well. That being said the spreading of the NAS sell-off into the Dow, if not just a blip, is dreadful news. There's plenty of overvaluation in some of the Dow stocks. If that's about to be washed away then major pain (still) lies ahead. Remember that neither the S+P nor Nasdaq are cheap by historical standards. I think momentum continues to rule the markets for now. Maybe fundamentals will matter more during earnings season.
