<<But trust me - take my word - the discounted prices last only for short periods of time and before you know it items are taken off the sale shelves and sold for premium prices.>>
Good evening, Addi, my friend - You are quoting the axiom of the nineties, especially the late nineties - "buy the dips"
If we are headed into a recession to the depth of the one in the early seventies - or perhaps worse (and I believe that we are) - many of the technology stocks will never recover (e.g. - LU, INTC, NT, DELL, HWP etc.) - and the others (e.g. SUNW, CISCO, EMC, MSFT, ORCL etc.) may take three to five years or more to recover. My opinion, obviously.
For myself, I am 57% cash, and intend to raise that to 80% in the next several months. Only when the market has proved to me that it is recovering, will I buy more equities.
In the interim, it is ABMD and futures contracts for me - some long, some short.
As always, I wish you the very best Addi. You could be right, and I could be wrong - but I seriously doubt that.
