Ampex Unit iNEXTV Signs Syndication Agreement With CarTrackers.com
CarTrackers.com To Feature iNEXTV's Original Automotive Streaming Video Series
INTERNET WIRE -- iNEXTV Corporation, the premier producer, aggregator and syndicator of video for the Internet and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ampex Corporation (Amex: AXC - news), today announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Cartrackers.com, a Top 10 site in the auto buying industry with more than 750,000 unique monthly visitors and the #1 Automotive Internet Site for customer loyalty, as rated by PC Data Online. The agreement is to syndicate iNEXTV's original automotive streaming video series, including ZERO TO 60 WITH TED WEST. ZERO TO 60 WITH TED WEST is a weekly show where Ted West, award-winning contributor to Road & Track, gets behind the wheel of today's hottest and most sought after cars and puts them to the test on the open road. The market is bursting with exciting cars, and ZERO TO 60 WITH TED WEST will help viewers make all the fine distinctions and right choices.
The agreement with CarTrackers.com increases iNEXTV's distribution network and advertising inventory, while also providing added-value content to CarTrackers.com and its users. Both companies will share revenue from advertising, generated from in-stream video commercials and banners associated with the programming.
Using iNEXTV's custom player window to serve the video, CarTrackers.com will supply users with co-branded, interactive programming, which includes: ZERO TO 60 WITH TED WEST, CAR-RIZZMA, a daily show which looks at the most exciting, glamorous and sought-after cars in the world - including classic cars, collectibles and car-coolness of every kind; and THE CAR SHOW, a daily show which allows viewers to simulate a test-drive of a Ferrari, lap Monaco in a Grand-Prix car and talk racing with Stirling Moss.
Programming began earlier this month.
All programming is encoded, hosted and streamed via iNEXTV's custom player window streaming and advertising video interface. The player window utilizes Ampex's proprietary video technology to provide high quality video with multi-level advertising and branding opportunities. All of the programming is accessible to users of Microsoft Media Player (Nasdaq: MFST - news) and Real Networks Real Player (Nasdaq: RNWK - news).
