Secular, you said "How many cells does an unborn child have to have before you see a problem with abortion? Or, are you simply not willing to draw any lines because it isn't convenient to do so?"

I've told you....the single cell of sperm or ova is living and I see that they die routinely. I am bothered by anything dying, even a fly or a tree. I deal with my feelings on early abortion by reminding myself that millions of sperm die in every sexual experience and a human egg dies every month. Aborting a pregnancy with a few cells more doesn't seem that much different.

You also said, " Life begins when the the fertilized egg attaches to the uterus (and thereby has a chance of survival). In that sense, I would support the RU486 pill."

Again you are in conflict with the right to life movement and religious groups who say that life begins at concepton. Frankly I've never heard your unique definition before and I wonder how many reading your note would agree.

You further stated, " I see abortion as a matter of convenience and contraception as a gross lack of responsibility "

Contraception as a gross lack of responsibility????? Please explain yourself.
