Forget going to Europe this summer, if it was on your agenda. Foot-and-mouth disease has turned up in France now. US banning meat imports from Europe. Yesterday, I was reading that Stonehenge is closed, National Trust buildings and other touristy places in the countryside closed because the virus can be tracked around by shoes and car tires. Same with Ireland and Scotland. Now France. nytimes.com Ok, that means short airlines that fly to Europe, buy American hotels.
