Obviously, what shape the rally takes is everything; if a bear pennant or flag forms at the end of a straight-line decline, we can all measure how far down the next move goes.

But I'm not so sure we aren't forming a big falling wedge on the COMPX the last 2-3 months. They haven't been very reliable bottoms as of late, but then again, nothing has. Something has to work at some point. I think 2100 or so would break it to the upside.

10,300, 1215 and 2070 are the minimum levels I need to see to say this rally has any legs. But I like a lot of what I see at the outset.

The Fed cutting rates has to be worth something at some point, BWDIK...
