Throughout this botched CTR many of the faithful refused to acknowledge it was a bust.

In fact, I think this determination kept many in this trade far longer than was warranted by the numbers. This, and the bulletin boards that deleted negative posts and posters leaving a much better and more hopeful impression about the trade than was warranted.

Confidence in Bob is a strange thing. If you're going to build up trust in your audience over the years, then you need to take that trust seriously and not step all over it. That, IMO more than anything else, is what makes this trade so devastating for many.
