MIAMI, Mar 14, 2001 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) -- Value Holdings, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: VALH), a holding company formed to acquire and consolidate
industrial distribution businesses relating to the wood and general building
materials industry, today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Network
Forest Products announced the appointment of James Higginson-Rollins as new
Chief Financial Officer and Vice President.

James Higginson-Rollins, 43, will join Network Forest Products as Chief
Financial Officer and Vice President. He will be responsible for overseeing
finance, accounting, and integration of the business management and computer
systems. He will also be working under Larry Maker, recently appointed as
President of Network Forest Products Limited, Value Holdings' wholly owned wood
products distribution subsidiary. Mr. Higginson-Rollins will be based in
Toronto, Canada.

Mr. Higginson-Rollins is a chartered accountant by profession, however he has
spent his working career in industry, primarily involved in supply chain
management within the wholesale distribution industry and his specialty is
working with turn-around situations. Over the last year, Mr. Higginson-Rollins
has been an independent financial consultant, working directly with companies'
top management to facilitate corporate reorganization.

Mr. Higginson-Rollins served as Controller of Adelco Supply Company, Inc., where
he was a member of the Executive and Policy committees and facilitated the
acquisition of the company by a large multi-national conglomerate. Additionally,
Mr. Higginson-Rollins has worked on independent development projects in Mexico
and the Caribbean, as Vice President of Finance for Maves International
Software, Senior Treasury Analyst at IBM Canada, Research Manager for Frastacky
Associates, Inc., and finally, Real Estate Analyst and Audit Staff member for
Coopers & Lybrand.
