As the world's second-largest economy, Japan is certainly nothing to take lightly ... but this has been brewing for 11 years. Who knows, maybe they'll stop pumping money into these failing enterprises.

I read that the PE of the 10 largest Nasdaq stocks is 26 (E is likely falling sharply, however; I think I heard -28% or so the next two quarters from First Call). The Dow PE is 20. What looks like the better risk-reward ratio?

Oddly, the most overvalued Dow stock I have is GM, but with cyclicals, you buy em when the fundamentals are at their worst.
