I feel that it's is extremely doubtful that Nokia will warn. My reasoning: If Q1 world sales are only flat with Q4 2000, Nokia will still gain market share by several million units - maybe 5% or so. This allows their margins to drop an equal amount and have profits stay the same, which is what Jorma has previously implied. Then there is Nokia's previously announced plan to take $1 billion out of expenses for a further cushion. If they gain even further market share with the MOT and ERICY chaos, profits for Q1 might even go up a penny or two.

An optimistic view from Sisuman
