Gee, I hope I can pass "my confirmation"; the Nain Inuit all seemed to
know and like me. Of course, they all teased me about my "stiff-style"
at the Saturday Night dances at the Atsanik Lodge, ha, ha.

Nice post Mr. Christopher, I was unaware of anyone's
claim of troctolite near Okak Bay; FYI, Kennecott/RTZ and Noranda played
the Abloviak NNW shear game pretty hard in '95 and '96--I still tease
K's chief geophysicist (Joe Inman) for their funny ideas <grin>. True
Ryan's Discovery Gossan 1.4-km west of the Ovoid is exactly on
the suture between the Nain orthogneisses and Churchill paragneisses
based upon the magnetic data which I published last year--BUT the
suture is at least 500 million years older than the emplacement of the
VB ore bodies--(i.e., coincidence?? <grin>). Most have known of the
different ages and "types" of troctolite--Morse and Wiebe were publishing
these differences in the 1960's--sadly the young geologists and new
exploration V.P.'s don't read the old classic reports anymore--maybe that's
why they don't find/drill ore.

Gee, Mr. Durdle, I thought ALL my posts were interesting--but don't
worry about my "conflict of interests" since all my "posts" are public
knowledge which I or DFR or INCO or Archean Resources have published in
scientific journals, annual reports, or press releases. Just be
careful when you invest--and don't rely too heavily on the "experts"--
I teased INCO-, Falco-, and Tech-types in 1995 for their "experts"
thinking that ore-grade nickel could not be found in anorthosite suites
--VB (and later Busang) made a lot of "experts" look foolish. Yup, I'll
be first to admit an Okak Bay Ni-Mine would make me look dumb too--
BUT I doubt it <grin>.

Mr. Jones, the magnetic anomaly which Gallery is posting has amplitudes
and wavelengths to large to be attributed to VB-type mineralization IMHO.
My guess is that it's caused by a thrust-imbricat of orthogneiss. The proposed
MT survey by Gallery should be very telling--Gallery is hoping for
a deep conductor beneath their big mag high--if (and it's a big if
in my opinion) they get good conductance--then drill it and prove me
wrong. That is indeed how exploration should be done. My compliments
to Gallery for proposing the Phoenix MT survey. (Also I didn't read
Gallery's entire web-site, just the Okak Bay stuff. Kimberlites & indicators
were identified in Labrador and Greenland a long time ago--DFR had missed
the NWT rush and started looking at LB in 1993!!)

Good Luck at Okak and Best Regards, T. (aka "Geezer" Geophysicst)
