Other emissions yes, but I've never seen anything claiming CO2 causes smog. Do you have a link to information about this?

Edit : CO2 is I believe the third biggest component of our atmosphere. If it causes smog smog would exist even in untouched wilderness such as Antartica or some small unihabited island in the South Pacific.
