Lane, the Big Players will use any news (expected or not) to create great volatility in the Market. Big players make much more money off wild volatility, especially when they know the direction it's going, in most cases.

The one laugh I had this year was when A.G. cut rates intra-meeting and intra-day while they were out to lunch. Of course, it just peeved them off to the point where they did everything in their power to tank the Market in the weeks that followed. They more than got even with Alan and most everyone else too.
