Not exactly. The cash doesn't vaporize, it just changes hands, as in from ours to theirs. It could have been from theirs to mine if I had stuck by my convictions in early 2000 that the "millenium crash" was indeed coming. Naturally I got rid of my shorts long ago, all of which would have made me fabulously wealthy now. Whatever, the point is that shorts of every ilk have made a ton of cash, which will be put to use at some time in the future along with the actual cash which was uninvested before the GreenCrash materialized.
