I don't believe that guy ever owned a VW bus.

I've owned two of them a '70(westfalia) and a '75. The '70 was a much better machine.

But I will admit to having an engine fire(and another one unrelated to the mechanics of the van<G>). Fortunately, I learned from the best of them to always carry an extinguisher. A few hoses and wires later and i was good to go.

I'd like to buy an old '68 safari version if anyone knows where one can be had, let me know.

EDIT: And the heat worked in the '70 real good. But you had to keep the window down because of the carbon<ng>
