Nope. First, even if the recording industry hadn't intervened it's not at all clear how Napster was planning to actually get revenue out of their business model. And second, it was rather short-sighted of them to assume that the recording industry wouldn't be able to intervene.

But you're on the right track. Napster probably sold a lot of broadband Internet connections and CD-ROM burners.
